About Us
The Practice is a long established Partnership which has served the town of Sevenoaks and it's surrounding countryside since early 1900.
We now care for around 15,300 patients, with our work based at Main Practice Centre in St Botolph's Road, Sevenoaks. This was purpose built and opened in the spring of 1995. Since 1991 we have also had a Branch Practice in Brasted. A new modern purpose built Brasted Practice was opened in January 1993.
In these two purpose built buildings, our ambition is to provide a high standard of care for our patients.
As well as providing traditional primary care services, the doctors are also closely involved with Sevenoaks Primary Care Network and Sevenoaks School.
Mission Statement
Personal doctoring and good communication
We believe in an individual doctor patient relationship, combined with the strength and depth provided by a group of doctors working together in a modern practice.
Doctors have individual lists and patients will therefore normally be seen by appointment and looked after by the doctor with whom they are registered.
We encourage whole families to register with the same doctor.
Good communication is the essence of good medicine and a successful "patient practice" relationship.
We strive to provide evidence-based, cost effective and up to date medical care for our patients without prejudice and with compassion and empathy.
We undertake to work with you towards this goal.
What to expect from your doctor
Training, Research and the Future
Training
From time to time a Doctor training in General Practice or Hospital Medicine will be attached to the partnership. He or she will be a fully qualified Doctor who will be at a stage in their career when they are gaining further experience and skills in General Practice.
The Practice is also involved in the training of medical students who are usually within one year of qualifying. In all of these circumstances the Doctors and Students remain under the direct supervision of one of the Partners. Your co-operation is greatly appreciated in the furtherance of the training of the next generation of Medical Practitioners.
Please feel free to let the receptionist know if you feel it is inappropriate for you to see individuals other than your registered Doctor. Aspects of training may well include video recordings of consultations and sometimes appropriate role-play.
In all instances you will be kept fully informed and have the right not to become involved, without prejudice to your care.
Research
For some time now the Practice has been involved in research projects. These have usually been multi-centre trials co-ordinated by the Medical Research Council.
Your co-operation would be welcomed, but at all times your permission would be obtained and your informed consent recorded.
In this way you will be contributing to the furtherance of medical science and your help is greatly appreciated.
The Future
The practice is committed to delivering the best possible medical care. It will continue to evolve and develop, using up to date technology and its reservoir of professional skills to achieve that goal.
Patient Feedback
We encourage patients to give us feedback on their experiences at the practice.
