After completing my degree in nursing in Wales in 1998, I worked at the Charing Cross hospital in Hammersmith on a Plastic Surgery and ENT ward. Whilst there, I obtained my HDU, and Burns & Plastics qualifications.

In 2001, I went travelling for two years, during which I worked in a variety of specialities including burns, plastics, orthopaedics, paediatrics, and care of the elderly, across Australia and New Zealand. On my return to the UK, I continued to work on plastic surgery wards, at the Royal Marsden and St. Thomas’ in London.

In 2006, I left shift work and became the plastic surgery pre-operative assessment sister at Bart’s and The London. I worked there for nine years until this job opportunity arose.

I live in Sevenoaks with my husband and two young children so this job is perfect for family life. I joined the practice in 2015, and I have loved getting back to wound care and am thoroughly enjoying being part of the Amherst team.
