Stay at home if you have coronavirus symptoms

Stay at home for 7 days if you have either:

  • a high temperature (classed as 37.8 degrees celsius)
  • a new, continuous cough

Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.

You do not need to contact 111 to tell them you're staying at home.

Use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service if:

  • you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home
  • your condition gets worse
  • your symptoms do not get better after 7 days

Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.

If your situation is life threatening please phone 999.

We are not an emergency service but do try to offer advice as available

When it comes to your health or the health of someone in your family, it is often very obvious if the person is seriously ill and needs immediate emergency care. An emergency is a critical or life-threatening situation. Please see NHS.uk for further information.

We have also prepared an emergency ambulance check-list.
