      Dr Neil D. Arnott

Dr Neil D. Arnott MB,BS,FRCGP.Dobst,RCOG.LMCC
I have been in the Practice since 1980 and was privileged to take over from my father who retired from the partnership in December 1979.

I have been locally educated at Tonbridge School and St. Thomas’s Hospital, part of London University. Since joining the partnership I have expanded my interest in forensic medicine, child development and obstetric care and in particular medical education.

I am currently a trainer. I am also an examiner for the Royal College of General Practitioners. Currently I am the Visiting Medical Officer of the newly appointed Sunrise Nursing Home caring for the older age groups at various levels of need.

In addition to this I look after Sevenoaks School, where I hold surgeries on a daily basis and in this role am secretary of the Medical Officers of Schools Association,
which represents similar GPs throughout the United Kingdom.

I am happily married and living locally in Ide Hill. Our four grown up children are largely off our hands although from time to time the house is remarkably full as grandchildren appear and give both my wife and myself a wonderful new vocation. My wife works locally as a JP, and is also a part time steward at Knole House.
As senior Partner I continue to co-ordinate the roles of an expanding team and look forward to the continuing challenges working within the NHS.

      Dr Richard Husband

Dr Richard G. Husband MB chB. DObstRCOG
I was born in Salisbury Southern Rhodesia (now Harare Zimbabwe) and trained at the University of Cape Town. After completing a year of housemanship in Cape Town I served 2 years as a doctor in the South African Medical Services. I thereafter worked in General Practice in Cape Town for a year.

I moved to the UK in 1980 and completed general practice training in Kent, joining the Amherst Medical Practice in 1985 initially as a registrar and subsequently as a partner.

I am married with one daughter. I love sport and music. I play golf and music with enthusiasm (but equal levels of incompetence)

I come from a family with generations of doctors and probably as a result have rather "old fashioned" ideas of General Practice.

  Dr Lindsay Thompson

Dr Lindsay Thompson MA MRCGP MBBS BSc DRCOG DFFP

After qualifying from Kings College London in 1995, I spent time working in Tanzania and South Africa, before returning to London to pursue a career in obstetrics and gynaecology.

Having started my own family, and spent time working in the community I decided that I would like to become a GP. I have still maintained an interest in women and children’s health, and work as a forensic gynaecologist at the Haven, Kings College Hospital.

I have worked at the Amherst since 2005 first as the registrar and more recently as a retained doctor working part-time.

I have four young children, which means life is constantly busy and full of surprises. I love keeping fit, enjoying running, netball, tennis and swimming, and still have a passion for travel.
